Description
I’ve realised that planetary imaging is definitely not my forte! Although it’s still not sharp at f10, the wider field of view has allowed to capture three of Jupiter’s Galilean moons. I increased the exposure time for a sixty second AVI to capture the moons, and then merged it with the RGB composite. From top down, the moons are: Callisto, Europa and IO. Ganymede is out of the frame, orbiting way out on this night, about the same distance again from Jupiter to Callisto. According to Stary Night, the great red spot should have been coming into view on the top side, but couldn’t capture it.
